Current and historical residential mortgage rates! (Chart)

title insurance, New York,New York City,Long Island,Michael HaltmanMortgage rates for residential property typically do not fluctuate wildly on a day-to-day basis but, as the charts and graphs below show, over time they most certainly can!

Over the past 52-weeks mortgage rates have moved in a range of over 100 basis points, or 1%, in all categories other than the ARM which has had a range of close to 50 basis points or one-half of one percentage point.

Going forward more volatility can certainly be expected in conjunction with US economic performance and any interest rate decisions that are made by the Federal Reserve.

From Mortgage News Daily these were the reported rates as of April 7, 2014.
