Anyone who is trying to sell a home can only hope that when you look at the chart below, your particular market will be prominently highlighted as one of the Top 20 across the United States!
If not, the process can be a long and frustrating one.
According to a study conducted by Realtor.com the median age of the inventory of houses for sale nationwide is 81 days.
This means that exactly one half of the homes have been listed for less than 81 days but, unfortunately for the sellers, half have been ‘out there’ for over 81 days!
Conversely, in the group of the Top 20 U.S. housing markets during the month of October, the number of days listed fluctuated between only 34 and 51 days with California dominating the list with 12.
What is it that sets these markets apart from all of the others?…’Tight supplies and strong economies that continue to fuel real estate markets’.
And as a final thought, for the companies involved with real estate transactions as well as the homeowners in New York State, no markets here appear on this list.
